For safety purposes, you should take out the content of your attic every two month. Then clean the walls with disinfectant. Get rid of cobwebs and molds. Then see if you can throw some of the belongings. Try keeping it less stuffed. Place a halogen light in the attic to ensure that it does not become a rat’s den. Keep naphthalene in the corners to scare away little insects. Don’t let your pets enter the attic.

It is also advisable to place an organic plant pot inside. This way, the attic gets fresh and recycled air and keeps clean.

Keeping homes safe from leakage

Water is a renowned disease-carrier. It allows breeding of mosquitoes and they are plainly lethal. You should ensure that your house is kept from leakage. Keep checking the house from outside and seal any burst pipe or leaking drain.

 If the leaking is an inside issue, check the walls with a knife. Any vulnerable spot should be plastered or fly walled. If you have acoustic ceiling, and the flakes are coming out, carefully remove the ceiling part-by-part.

 Use sander and spray paint in case of ceiling. Paint-tape the edges between walls and also those between the walls and the floors. Check the alcoves and see if they have become a reservoir. Keep your aquarium clean and budding with fresh water.

Use a thick entrance mat on the outside and a thinner one inside. They not only welcome guests but also keep the external water from seeping in. Don’t keep the house damp under any circumstance.

Bathroom mats should be shrugged and vacuum cleaned every other day. The commode should be treated with disinfectants. Bathroom tiles should be cleared of any muck lest it settles down. You should also bleach the stains with acid. It is better to have discoloration than dirt in bathroom.

Shower stalls and mats need proper attention and should be brushed off in two to three days. Muriatic acid is a fervent company for bathrooms and should be amply used in cleaning bathrooms. You should have a laundry bag to keep dirty clothes and not keep them dispersed. It is better to keep the bathroom relatively empty. Wash the tubs daily. You take your bath in it after all.
